Honda uploads a video on the basics of driving manual a day after Ford’s news of its sedans’ impending demise in the US. Just a coincidence, I’m sure. Also, the want for a new Accord is just getting stronger.

I saw this last night and considered posting. Seriously random.

If we got an Accord wagon with that 6spd, I’d be all over it.

I’ve seen the sedan enough to know that I definitely want one. I saw a black one the other day and it was just perfect. But yeah, a wagon would be nice. It’s likely either a new Accord or a TSX wagon for my next daily.

I want one sooooo bad.... In that blue, too.....

I miss having a hanging gas pedal. Two more days...

Oh, and this bothers me more than it should:

Yeah, top-mounted clutch and brake with bottom-mounted gas is a weird feeling.

Plot twist: new S2000 accidentally confirmed

With no gearbox and a live rear axle.

Hey, the previous Civic Type R broke the 8 minute barrier on the Nürburgring with a solid rear axle...
(Why they put the Nürburgring time into a photo taken at the Slovakiaring is beyond me...)

Lol. And Ford auto gearbox $10,000Aus fine in Australia.

The blue is indeed nice, but it looks utterly menacing in black.

This may be the windfall the Japanese manufacturers need to keep sedan/hatch sales afloat. This is a small part of the market, but as long as they can keep the sedans/hatchbacks alive, not all is lost.

“So you want to date my daughter, eh?”
Agreed. I love this.

Solid axle? Surely not... Do you mean a torsion beam?

Absolutely agreed. If Honda can tone down the styling of the Civic just a bit when it gets refreshed in a year or two, it’ll just make things better.

Yeah. They’re basically the same to someone who has only owned cars with double wishbones.

They are similar, but you can hardly call it solid. Let’s call it a flimsy rear axle, then!
Only double wishbones, front and rear? That’s impressive!

But at the end I wanted to learn how to launch and heel toe down shift.

I have yet to meet my girlfriend’s dad, but if he has a black Accord he’s my kind of people.

That’s not until driving manual 102.

In for updates, but I’m not about to follow Honda on youtube.

...and then you discover it has a CVT

Me neither, honestly. If there is a second part it’ll inevitably show up in my suggestions as this did, though.

Indeed, I’ve owned several Preludes (still have two) and a TSX.

I would just be sad he skimped on the engine. The 2.0T comes with a 10-speed auto.

Yeah. My dad was saying how he just sucks at driving stick and doesn’t want to do all that shifting stuff so I told him for the same price you could get the 2.0T with a 10-speed.
